Bonjour, ahlan, ciao! I'm Cate – a modern languages teacher, PhD researcher & mum of three... and I have a mission!

And that mission is to make languages accessible to families with little people under 7 years of age, even if the big people have no languages experience.

But why? To unlock that love for languages from a young age – long before they are taught in school – and the hundreds of benefits learning them brings, and also to grow parents' confidence too!

Who am I? I'm a mum of three and a modern languages teacher, and I'm currently undertaking a PhD in Education with a focus on Applied Linguistics at the University of Oxford.

I also ran parent & baby multilingual singalong music groups for over ten years across the south west of the UK. Through my real-life experience, my experience as a mother and my theoretical research, I have created the online Children's Languages Adventure for families throughout the world to enjoy!
